Hold your breaths, because I’m getting crafty.
Most likely, you will have the same reaction my husband did when I came home today with a bulging bag from Joann’s Fabric–hysterical laughter followed by some serious head shaking.
Nonetheless, I venture onwards.
Thanks to the beautiful world of Pinterest, I found this wreath:
So I decided to do a combination of the wreath above and my craft-blogger-idol Britt’s t-shirt wreath at The Story of Our Rookie Years.
Basically, Britt’s method involves cutting an old t-shirt into 1×1 inch squares and punching them into a straw wreath. I bought a foam wreath at Joann’s (they have coupons and sales this weekend!) because I wanted the heart shape, so I plan on attaching the t-shirt squares with straight pins, as shown in the first picture.
Then, to finish, you coat with a dash of red spray paint.
Couldn’t be simpler, right?
I guess we shall see. I’ll post the results soon…or if they are too embarrassing, we’ll just forget this ever happened…
