Less than a year after graduating from High School and only 7 months after moving out on my own and successfully finding a job that would pay the bills and give me extra cash in my pocket, I found myself pregnant.
Totally unexpected, unplanned, and wayyy too premature for all of the goals I had set for myself.
I had my first son in November of 2009. I got so many dirty looks in supermarkets, overheard comments from family that I wouldn’t go anywhere, and lost many friends after the fact.
It was hard being 19 and a mother. I gave up a lot of goals to raise him and give him what he needed. It was definitely a struggle. Especially since, 4 months after he was born, I had to move back in with family because the bills piled up while I was on maternity leave.
I love my son to death, and since having him I have found out that I have Cervical Dysplasia, Endometriosis, and Polycystic Ovaries. Therefore, told I was unable to have anymore children of my own. I always wanted two kids, but accepted the fact that Aiden would be my one and only forever.
To my surprise, at the age of 21, I found out I was pregnant AGAIN this past August (August 2012). I have since gave birth to my second son, Austin, in May of 2013.

I would not give them up for anything in the world. Not even all of the lost years and goals that I gave up.
I am now 22 with two amazing, smart little boys who continue to show me, every day, that life isn’t about age, experience, or money.
