When I attended BlogHer `12 back in August, I came across an at-home hair removal laser system booth, the Tria Hair Removal Laser. I admit that I was kind of excited about it because I loathe shaving and the idea that I could never shave again sounds pretty appealing.
The lovely ladies running the show explained that they were offering a free laser system as part of a special blogging program they were running, meaning I could 1) have a free laser hair removal system 2) had to blog about it about a few times 3) if I did all this, I would then be entered into a dream vacation giveaway 4) they would give me another laser hair removal system to giveaway to my readers when I finished my review.
Let me think about that for a second.
The Tria Laser arrived a few weeks ago, but I was disappointed to see a warning against use if you are breastfeeding, so my brother and sister are going to be my guinea pigs for this one.
Which, actually, if I am being honest, is fine by me because I’m a little scared to use it. Lasers? At home? Is that safe?
We will find out.
My brother so far as aimed the thing at his chest and my sister has used it on her stomach. (Yes, we are both cursed with some hair around the bellybutton, ok? Except she can still show her stomach in public, so she has grounds for this…)
So far, they both have reported some “tingling” and “burning” upon using the laser, but my brother swears after using it one time his chest hair grew back more fine.
Stay tuned for more of the laser hair removal saga…
Also, tell me what you think. Would you use this thing at home?
