I had some work to get done on Sunday, so Ben offered to take over the meal planning and grocery shopping for the week.
You can guess what that meant.
A whole lot of money spent at the store and a whole lot of junk food in the cupboards. The kids wanted Reese’s Puffs, my foot.
Anyways, I can’t complain, because I was more than happy to take a break from it for a week, but I just felt the need in advance to explain this week’s unhealthy meal plan.
Nonetheless, it’s man-approved, so there you go.
My Weekly Man-Friendly Meal Plan
Monday– Chicken gyros. We just made these last week, but they are just that good.
Tuesday- Burgers and asparagus. I keep meaning to pick up some veggie burgers for myself on our burger nights, but keep forgetting. Does anyone have a good veggie burger recipe? It’s not that I don’t like burgers, but I just find that they really upset my stomach. I’m an old woman like that.
Wednesday- Philly-Chicken Cheese Steaks with onion and green peppers
Thursday- Pork tacos with fresh guacamole
Friday- Leek & Broccoli soup
Saturday-Homemade pizza (Ben’s speciality)
Sunday- Roast chicken, salad, and sweet potato
