Baby Magic Soft Cotton Blooms Giveaway!

You can tell that I was a naïve mother by the highchair that I chose for our first baby.

No cutesy patterns or sleek, modern design for me, thank you.

I decided that what I really wanted was a gleaming, pristine white highchair.

As you can guess, it was incredibly difficult to find an all-white highchair.

I should have seen that for the sign that it was, but I ignored the warnings and pressed on, intent on my hunt to find the perfect white highchair for my perfect little family. I could so easily visualize my baby sitting in her all-white highchair in my clean kitchen while she enjoyed homemade baby food and music played (educational, of course) softly in the background.

Ha.

Three kids and almost five years later, my all-white highchair has taken on a bit of a grunge look. And not in a good way. It’s yellowing and there is food stuck permanently in places that I will never be able to clean.

I can laugh at myself now and my inexperienced mother ways. I know now that babies are impossibly messy and that every meal after a baby will require a whole kitchen fumigation.

Jake is 8 months old now and just discovered that he has the power to throw food off of highchair tray. The joy! The happiness! He greatly enjoys dumping all the contents of his sippy cup on his tray and smearing the entire thing around with his chubby little man hands.

Which of course, will inevitably wind up in his hair.

Sigh.

Unlike my poor white highchair, however, Jake is pretty easy to clean and luckily, he loves bath time.

And just when I was about to run out of my secret stash of Baby Magic baby wash, they sent me a new product to try out—their new Soft Cotton Blooms scent in both a baby wash and a lotion.

Jake's a fan.

Jake’s a fan.

The new scent is “created with fragrance notes of sweet lily and night-blooming jasmine” and leaves “baby’s skin feeling fresh, moisturized and smelling clean.”

And it really does. I feel like the light, new scent matches Jake’s new growing-up status (sob). It’s nice to mix it up from the standard baby powder scent, you know?

I'll take that, thank you.

Jake is so darned cute! I love his flyaway hair! I’m sorry that he has discovered what we used to call the gravity game, though. “Hey, if I hold this thing over here and let go, what happens? Wow! It goes on the floor! I’d better try that again.”

I’m going to pass this on to my daughter and daughter-in-law. With five kids between them, I’m sure they’ll be interested!

My mother used to use Baby Magic on me when I was a baby & a little girl. I could still remember the scent… that’s why I started using it for my kids 🙂
